AS A REMINDER: THIS IS THE INFORMATION THAT WAS ORIGINALLY POSTED WITH THE CAST LIST

We want to thank all of the over 115 people who came to audition for the 2012 nightly musical pageant.  If we could, we would gladly accept all of you as a part of this beloved and respected tradition.  Unfortunately, physical space and other restrictions make that impossible.  Consequently, we have identified an initial cast with remaining candidates being placed on a wait list.  Because over one-third of the candidates that have not been offered a position, we expect that all those that have been cast will demonstrate their appreciation by following all the instructions.  Attempting to rely on "I didn't know" with respect to information that is clearly posted is one of the quickest ways out of the cast

...All casting was made based upon the preliminary conflict information provided at the auditions.  If your real conflicts will be significantly different from what you presented at auditions - tell us now and save a lot of problems.

...If you have been cast and decide not to participate, please be courteous and let us know promptly so that we might give someone else a chance (if you are cast and know someone else who was cast who has decided not to take their position, please tell them to e-mail or call us and let us know)

... Even with the wait list, we have cast more than we need.  Accordingly, adherence to procedures will be expected and strictly monitored.  Failure to do so will result in dismissal from the production.

...Full casting is not complete and will not be until after the orientation.  There are many smaller but significant roles with singing and acting (yes, including lines) that will be cast from those that are identified below as Featured Singers, Featured Players, and Ensemble.

...You must continue to visit this website regularly (at least twice a week) in order to keep informed and receive important updates.  Those that have participated in the past should take particular note that we will be moving quicker with information and requirements than in the past.

... As an example of the above, we will be posting the script on line for each cast member to print and review prior to the orientation date.  You are aware that we have also already started taking measurements for costumes and will be working in that area even prior to orientation and on the day of orientation.

... After you have reviewed the script when it is posted, you will be required to return to the website and confirm that you are accepting your role.  At that time, you will also be required to specifically identify all conflicts and be prepared to live with that list.  Therefore, take the time now to find out any and all possible conflicts specifically and exactly.  Excessive conflicts will always remain a reason for dismissal from the production.

...Once you confirm your participation, there will be other forms that you will need to download and complete prior to our first meeting date (orientation).

...The orientation date is SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 20, 2011 @: 1:00 p.m. until approximately 3 p.m. (volunteers will be asked to show up at 12:30 p.m. for a brief meeting and submission of forms).  The first rehearsal is mandatory for the full cast and will be on SATURDAY, JANUARY 7, 2012 @ 12 noon.  PLEASE MARK YOUR CALENDARS NOW!
